Put LMS, Simmons and the Sergeant at the edge of the jungle, crouching among the ferns, looking out. LMS would be pointing and the Sergeant would be using binoculars. I imagine LMS at the front, the Sergeant just behind her and Simmons bringing up the rear, peering over their heads. In essence, they’d be in order of height. It would be nice if the patch on the Sergeant’s left shoulder were visible and the height differences might be put to good use to make the piece flow from upper right to lower left.
They looking at a cave entrance across a road. The road has tank tread marks. A lot of them, so they know they’re looking at a real nasty hidey hole full of danger. Track marks go into the cave, BTW.At the end of the scene a jeep comes out of the cave.
If you want to show what they’re looking at, you might try putting it in a reflection in the lenses of the binoculars.
